During his studies in product design at the University of Art and Design in Halle, he did an exchange at the Ceramic- Glass design department and studied at the Escola d´Art i Superior de Disseny de Valencia in Spain. In 2008 he did a project at the University of Art in Linz in Austria and an internship at the Walking Chair Design Studio in Vienna. He graduated in 2010 and since then he is a teaching assistant in Industrial Design at University of Art and Design in Halle. In 2010 he formed the collective “fishing for compliments” and set up his own studio in Berlin.
Jan will present Teelight, a delicate pendand lamp made out of a classic china cup from Arzberg with a pull-switch that reminds of a teabag.
